Introduction

Dr. Shams, Syed is a leading scientist in field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, computer vision and Image processing having developed several innovative hardware and software solutions for the additive manufecturing, automotive industry, robotics and Engineering solutions. Dr. Syed is renowned for his research, contributions, and publications in algorithm optimizations, graoh theory, and natural language processing.

Dr. Syed has led and/or founded several startups in the artificial intelligence (AI) space. He is currently the co-founder and CTO/CIO of Artificially Digital. Prior to Artificially Digital, Dr. Syed served as AI/ML Consultant at GetSpiffy, Inc., where he led the research and development of the EasyTread Project (patent pending). Prior to GetSpiffy, Inc., he served as Chief Technology Officer for ERS Inc. where he oversaw the development of Custom CRM Applications, in house mass SMS Marketing solutions and mobile applicaitons for Android and iOS devices. Prior to ERS, Inc. Dr. Syed served as Chief of Data Science, ZVerse Inc. where he oversaw the. At Zverse, Dr. Syed served as a Chief Technology Officer. Where he led the core technology research and development of company's flagship SAAS based B2B/B2C Layr® Platform levraging powerful AI/M. Earlier, Dr. Syed co-founded ANILOGIX (Pvt) Ltd, a technology company, focused on the development of 3D interactive applications. Apart from indusrty enagments, Dr. Syed also served as an adjunct faculty member at SZABIST where he taught grauduate level cources in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced AI Programming. Dr. Syed holds a BS, a Masters (with distinction), and a PhD in computer science from University of South Carolina.He has published sevral (9+) academic conference papers and white papers. He also holds one patent (Patent file. 53723-03/62308630).

Projects

EasyTread Project: Hardware/Software solution utilizing advanced AI/ML and computer vision technology, allowing clients to analyze tire tread patterns of multiple vehicles in a fleet. This solution ultimately enabled the client to accurately predict the lifespan of a tire minimizing car downtime and potential lost revenue.

"SIMD Optimized framework for Gene Prediction in DNA Sequence"
A novel superscalar framework to serve as potential platform for implementation of fast gene prediction algorithms is presented. The framework pushes the processor to its limits by making use of short vector SIMD instructions to achieve maximum parallelism for processing the genomic data.

"Real Time Dynamic Lighting and Shadowing Techniques for Complex Geometric Scenes"
This paper presents a pixel space based approach that uses screen space to perform lighting and shadowing in virtual world. It allows addition of many dynamic lights in a scene and produce realistic soft shadows of complex geometric objects.
